Cod burger (patty)

This fish patty is now on the list of my favourite fish meals. Quickly preparable and great with a modest side-dish as well. Be sure to choose better quality fish fillet, since it is the base of the whole food.

Ingredients

  • 400 g cod fish fillet

  • one egg

  • one tbsp lemon juice

  • a pinch of salt and pepper

  • one tbsp dijon mustard

  • one tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1-2 slice of bread (depends on the size)

  • a bunch of parsley, chopped

  • oil for frying

Directions

  • Since I use frozen cod fish fillets, I pre bake in a preheated, 190°C, oven for 10 minutes in. Easiest way to get rid of the unnecessary water content of the fish. Pour off the unnecessary water then let the fish cool down. Meanwhile put all the ingredients in a bowl, tear the inside of the bread into small pieces and add together with the fish teared apart as well. Mix everything well. Preheat oil in a pan then fry the fish patties. The sweet chili sauce fits very well!
